At home residency for Marseille based artists, from 21 June – 19 July 2021.

1/ PRESENTATION
Triangle - Astérides and Glasgow Sculpture Studios (GSS), Scotland, have established an artist residency exchange programme that has run for a number of years.
The COVID-19 pandemic has made it challenging for us to safely welcome artists to Glasgow in person so instead we would like to support artists based in Marseille to undertake a residency from their own homes and/or studios. This residency will be focused on supporting research and development and will be an opportunity to reflect on your practice through new connections and perspectives.
In addition to a project stipend of £1000, Glasgow Sculpture Studios will work with the selected artist to identify relevant connections with curators, producers, and other visual arts professionals in Glasgow as part of a mentoring and professional development programme.
2/ CONDITIONS
- A stipend of £1000,
- Mentoring & professional development opportunities with visual arts professionals from Glasgow,
- Digital promotion (GSS website and social media) of the research and project developed during the residency.
3/ APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
Applications should take the form of a single PDF document comprised of the following:
- Your contact details (Name, Address & Postcode, Telephone No, Email),
- Statement outlining your artistic practice (350 words),
- A statement (500 words) outlining: How this remote residency with Glasgow Sculpture Studios would enable you to develop “virtually” your artistic practice? // How you would take advantage of the opportunity to connect with the artistic community of Glasgow from your home?
- 8-10 images, or up to 3 youtube or vimeo links to works that you feel best articulate your practice and best support your application. Please also include a short description (title, medium, date, etc) and/or contextual information for each image,
- Artist CV (2 pages maximum).
